New Google Tasks for iPhone no competition for existing task apps
Google just announced that its Tasks web application is now available on mobile phones, including the Apple iPhone.
Google’s Tasks is an add-on to its e-mail system and was always a task manager for the simplest of schedulers.
Access the mobile version by going to gmail.com/tasks in your mobile browser and log in.
A task-master at heart, I tried out the web app yesterday and I must say it’s fine for people with one-dimensional task lists. For people trained in the art of tagging, scheduling and repeating tasks this app will do nothing. For people who want a very simple to-do list that syncs with the desktop web (via Gmail or via iGoogle) enjoy the new Google Tasks for your mobile.

Agreed. My To Do App is Appigo’s Todo. I have it syncing with toodledo and then syncing again to my fiance’s phone. We can each customize the App with folders for our tasks together, like paying rent, as well as tasks just for one of us.
