Apple may charge for re-downloading apps to iPhone
Apple may charge users to re-download an app previously purchased, while re-downloading via iTunes would remain free.
Rene Ritchie on The iPhone Blog writes that this appears to only effect some users using 3.0 Beta firmware.
Ritchie says, “We’re guessing that with the on-device account management coming to iPhone 3.0 — where you can log in and out of multiple iTunes accounts right on your iPhone — Apple is putting this in place to prevent the sharing of purchases between accounts.”
