My common name on the interwebs is sonyanews, but my full name is Sonya Smith.
I’ve been reporter at the Orange County Register since 2005 and currently work on the special online projects team. This mblapps blog is not affiliated with the Register.
My first cell phone was a Pacbell and an iPaq was my first “smartphone.” I started writing about technology as “iGirl” when I waited in line for the first iPhone. I also for a short time had a mobile applications blog at the Register called Mobile Moves.
And yes, Smith owns a “smart” phone – an Apple iPhone. Her first “smart” phone was an iPaq and her first mobile phone was a Pacbell phone the size of a small brick.
